Currently, we are seeking to fill immediate and future positions for the following programs:​​​​​

• Classroom Assistant and Aftercare Guide : This position calls for motivated individuals who are excited to support an environment of play and recreation while maintaining the tenets of the Montessori classroom.

• Responsibilities include supporting the daily rhythms of the school day, implementing activities and upholding rhythms during our aftercare, vacation care and summer programs. Must have a willingness to adapt to the cultural expectations of a Montessori classroom. Previous experience a plus, must pass a thorough background check. Training will be provided during the first few weeks of employment to allow for preparation.

• This is a full time position 5 days per week 10:30pm-5:30pm during the school year. Hours vary for vacation care and summer program vary but are typically between the hours of 8:15-4:15pm.

• Qualifications:

• · Education: High School diploma required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

• · Experience: Demonstrated ability to form strong relationships with children and their families. Experience working with young children, preferably in a school setting.

• · Specialized knowledge: Experience with and/or demonstrated commitment to authentic Montessori philosophy.

• · Skills: Demonstrated ability to be reflective, adaptive, flexible, and resilient in work situations. Demonstrated ability to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues. Clear verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to be confident and self-directed, while being clear about limitations. Able to seek support, input and guidance from colleagues and the Head of School.

• · Abilities: Meet the physical and licensing requirements of a preschool teacher.

• · Will pass and provide mandated background checks before beginning employment.

• · Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Substitutes: Our goal is to sustain a consistent group of substitutes who exude leadership and flexibility. This position calls for service-minded individuals who enjoy working with young children (18 months-6 years), and supporting the teachers and classroom environment. A quiet and calm demeanor and professional appearance are a must.  Background check required.  Substitute schedules vary but are typically either 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM or 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM on any given day.
